Soap Making Instructions - How to Make Lye Soap From Scratch
Brought to you by Cole Farms, Inc.

Soapmaking is fun and easy and if you take precautions when using lye it is also relatively safe. Some people enjoy making soap just because the like to do things themselves and love the feeling of being self sufficient. Others do it because they have special skin needs and cannot find a soap that they like so they make their own. Still others make soap for a profit and create a small business out of the hobby. Whatever your reasons for making soap, you have come to a good place to learn. This guide focuses on the small 16 ounce batches of soap. We have found that is is better to start small and work your way up to larger batches. Also, you can use a blender to whip the lye/oil mix thus creating creamier soaps without all the stirring. We hope you enjoy our guide.
