There is plenty to do in both the summer and winter months. Come in the winter to get away from the cold weather up north. 2. Number two on our list is "Tarpon Springs Aquarium". Visit a spectacular living reef that was once only visited by divers but it now available for all to enjoy. One of Florida's most exciting marine attractions. See sharks, fish, live coral and sponges in beautiful display. A must see attraction.

3. Number three place to visit in the Tarpon Springs/Palm Harbor Fl area is "Sun Line Cruises". Enjoy a great day out on the gulf with Sun Line Cruises. Great way to see the true beauty of the Florida Gulf Coast. See dolphins, sea birds, rays, bald eagles, pelicans and much more. Cruises right by the sponge docks. Prices are around $15 per person.

4. The number four place to visit in the Tarpon Springs / Palm Harbor area is "Sunset Beach". Great place to bring the entire family. Located at the end of Gulf Road in Tarpon Springs It juts out into the bay. Swim or just sit in the shade of the palm trees gently swaying in the breeze. If you want more action, there is parasailing, sail boarding and boating available. Picnic facilities are nearby, and a free monthly concert is held on the 1st Thursday of the month. A true Tarpon Springs paradise.

5. Finally, number five on our list is "Narcosis Scuba". Enjoy a dive in one of the worlds most beautiful underwater ecosystems. Learn to scuba dive, take a dive trip or go on a snorkeling trip to see the manatees. Great fun for the whole family.

If the kids get bored you are only a couple of hours from Gainesville and a little over three from Tampa and Orlando.
