This is a spreadsheet based program that is simple to use and simple to edit. To use it you simply enter the description of the service, then enter the number of items and the price per item. The program will total up the invoice, add sales tax if applicable and provide a total. The program can also be used as a pricing program by simply pre-inputting the services and the cost per item. Then the user would simply put the number of items in the applicable blanks and print out the invoice.

There are two sections for inputting items. The top section is for most items and is taxed according to the rate you enter in the box labeled "tax rate 1". The bottom section is for miscellaneous items like detergent, materials etc... This section is taxed according to what you enter in the box labeled "tax rate 2". I have setup the sheet this way to accomodate states that tax services and products at different rates. If your state taxes everything the same then you would just put the same tax rate in both blanks. If your state does not tax services but only taxes products sold then you would put a "0" in the top tax rate blank and the applicable rate in the bottom blank.

I have also added a second page to the worksheet that has a grid for you to enter your prices. This way the user can click over to the price page to check on the price of a product or service and then click back over to the invoice page and enter the price. It is for reference only and is not linked to the invoice sheet. This page is accessed by clicking on the tab labeled prices at the bottom left corner of the program

The spreadsheet can be opened using the shareware spreadsheet reader provided with the package, Excel or Lotus 123. I recommend either the free reader or excel. It runs on any Windows 95,98,2000,XP or Vista based computer. It also runs on MAC machines that have excel installed.
