This kit includes the word of your choice on the hood in an arial bold font, three stripes for the hood (2",1.5",1") and the letters for the sides. The kit covers both sides of the vehicle. This kit is shown in SILVER but you have your choice of WHITE, BLACK, SILVER, DARK BLUE and RED.
The word(s) on the hood is transfer taped meaning that it goes on as one piece. This makes it easy to apply and keeps the letters in exact position. All you have to do is mark the hood so the decal goes on level. The other letters and stripes are not transfer taped. The three stripes are put on one stripe at a time using the front edge of the hood as a place to measure from. I put mine about 6 inches from the front. (They run from the edge of the center raised section down each side to the fenders. They do not go over the center section. It looks much better that way.) After you apply the three stripes using the simple soapy water method you simply trim the top and bottom using an exacto knife and a ruler. This is a very simple kit to install. Any air bubbles under the vinyl will come out as the stripes heat up in the sun or you can pop them with a needle.
Installation instructions are provided. Decals are easy to install and add a custom look to your Jeep.
To install the stripes simply mix a spray bottle of water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid together and spray both the car and the back of the vinyl stripe. (after peeling away the wax paper) Then slide the stripe into position and squeegee out any air bubbles with the free squeegee supplied with the kit. Then simply trim any excess with an exacto knife or razor blade. On stripes that are transfer taped you just wait until the stripe has dried and gently remove the tape. Installation is so simple a 12 year old could easily put these on.
NOTE: As long as the stripe is wet you can work with it. When the soapy water solution evaporates the stripe is permanent until you want to remove it.
