The matte finish makes the vinyl printable and thus easy to transfer patterns to. (the surface is also great for drawing patterns on) It is tough enough to handle chemical etching and sandblasting. This material is suitable for etching or sandblasting glass, wood, marble, corian, bricks and even cement stepping stones.  To use the material simply print, seal, cut and apply to your glass before etching or blasting. When you are done etching or blasting the surface simply peel away the stencil and you are done. Also, the matte surface is great for sketching or drawing your pattern on using a pencil. Simply draw, apply, cut and etch.
