In an effort to assist Stained Glass Stepping Stone artists who mix their own cement, we have developed "Stone Calc".  The program is easy to use and provides several tools that will help the user make and price better stones quicker and more efficiently.

Program features are as follows:

• Volume calculator to help you estimate the cement requirements for any size or shape mold.

• Formula calculator which uses the volume information to calculate 6 different stepping stone cement formulas simultaneously.

• Pricing calculator which instantly calculates your cost per stone for the six different formulas and also calculates in the cost of glass and complexity of your design to give you 12 suggested retail prices depending upon which formula and how much glass was used.

• Only 2 - 3 inputs are required by the user.  The program does the rest.

• Fully editable data section where you can change prices, factors and multipliers to suit your specific situation.  The default prices and factors are based upon market averages and should be accurate.

•  The "Stone Calc" program on a CD along with complete instructions on how to use and edit it.

• Complete instructions on how to mix and pour stepping stone cement.

• An Assortment  of free stained glass patterns not found anywhere else. 

Please note that nothing but Windows 95/98/2000 is required to open and use this program. All the necessary software to run and edit the spreadsheet is included. Since the program is written in Microsoft Excel/Lotus 123 format it can be easily added to , edited and modified in an infinite number of ways. Unlike other programs, if you don't like the way something is calculated or the way something is set up you can easily change it.  If you read through a basic book on Lotus 123 or Microsoft Excel you would have no problem editing this program or even writing your own from scratch.  I do not want to mislead any fellow stonemakers.  If you learned to work with Lotus 123 or Excel you could actually write this program yourself.  It is a very practical program that I use everytime I pour a stone.
