Standard and Automatic gates need to be marked with reflective tape so that at night, cars and trucks can see and avoid them.  The video below shows the contrast between a gate or fence that is not marked for night time visibility by reflective tape, and one that is.  After seeing the difference, it is easy to understand how important making an expensive gate visible at night is.  

These gates often cost in excess of $15,000 and when damaged, the cost to repair them can be almost as much as the original cost to install.  And when the low cost of marking an automatic gate or fence with reflective tape is considered, it is clear that this is the cheapest form of insurance for this type of situation.  A less than $100 investment can protect a gate for years and years.

Bright colored reflective tapes provide visibility in both day and night time conditions.  For commercial gates, this is preferable.  For colored tapes, we have Nikkalite ELG reflective type one films in 10 colors.  We also have V92 and V82 colored prismatic tapes for applications where longer sight distance is needed.

However, for some decorative black gates, this is not desirable in that the owners prefer that the gate be black in the daytime.  This is where black reflective tape comes into the picture.  It is invisible in the daytime on a black gate, but nice and bright when cars approach at night.  It reflects from a bright golden color, to a brother white.  We carry three types of black reflective tape, Nikkalite ELG, Oralite 5700, and Oralite 5650 Rapid Air.  ELG is bright, 5700 is brighter, and 5650 RA is the brightest.

About our Products - We carry a wide variety of reflective tapes.  They are all branded and certified products.  We stock almost everything that we sell in house and ship quickly.  If a product is not in stock or is to be drop shipped, we will make you aware and specify a lead time.  We carry Oralite and Nikkalite reflective tapes.  Both are on QPL lists across the country and both are manufactured by reputable, global manufacturers.  Our reflective tapes are rated for outdoor applications with life expectancies of from 5 - 12 years depending on the film.  For applications where the tape is out of the weather like a fire truck in a firehouse, the life expectancy is longer.

Shipping - We ship quickly using US Mail for light boxes and UPS Ground for heavier ones.  The majority of our products are in stock and ship out the same or next day. Delivery time is approximately 3-5 days on most standard orders.

Return and Order Cancellation Policy - Reflective tape orders can be cancelled until they are shipped out. After products are shipped, we accept returns in certain cases. If we have made a mistake and have shipped the wrong item, we remedy that at no cost to the customer.  For returns where another item is purchased to replace an item purchased in error, we accept those with no restock fee.  For all other returned items we apply a 10% restock fee.
