Maintaining your Acid Stained Floors

acid stained floors

Maintaining your acid stained floors is not difficult. They are designed to be almost maintenance free. A little weekly and bi-monthly maintenance is all it takes to make them stay beautiful and last a long time.

First, keep them clean and free of sand. Sand will grind your finish. Sweep and mop weekly at least. Also, put felt pads on all your furniture to prevent scratching. Every couple of months we apply a coat of mop and glo floor finish. This replaces any finish that has been worn and protects the floor. It also gives you back the original shine.

When you get a bad scratch just lightly sand the edges, apply some color to try and match the rest of the floor and then wipe on some floor finsh. Then coat the floor or that area with mop and glo to even everything out.
